We took this tour in the evening and our guide was Anna. She lead us through the streets to some amazing places and brought us a wide range of Chicetti that we otherwise just wouldn’t have tried, she also kept our Ombra topped up with lots of different wines. Anna the guide was very knowledgeable and great fun along the way. Please don’t turn up expecting to be fed pizza and pasta!!
We took this tour with Anna on 7/9/18. It was wonderful! Anna was a great tour guide. We had a fun group and enjoyed several delicious foods and drinks! Definitely recommend!
Anna, please email the pic to us. Thanks! Pat and Terri
Our family of four with two teens really enjoyed this tour. The guide was super nice and willing to read ingredients and speak to chefs about a peanut allergy in the group. We learned about the city and the people and food.
Very tasty food and wine and excellent guide the guide we had was in fact a chef, born and grew up in Venice, and I could really tell she absolutely loves the city. Throughout this 3 hours, I have learnt so much not only about the local cuisine, customs, but also about tips on how not to get around town like the locals and how to avoid the tourist traps, how to choose a good bottle of wine, where and how to find good restaurants in Venice. We tried really good wines from house wine to some nice regional red sparkling wine that I have never tried before, Raboso. It turned out to be a nice pleasant surprise because it was very good that I bought a few bottles to take back home with me. I love seafood so this tour was perfect with mostly seafood. My most favourite dish was probably the al dente- to -perfection risotto that was a special order for our food tour group because it is not written in the restaurant s menu. All of our stops/ restaurants were full of locals and they even let me take some photos with them! If you d like to mingle with the locals or curious to know where they hang out, along with enjoying good food and wines I definitely recommend this tour!
