Both the War Memorial and the museum are both fascinating and very thought provoking. The other parts of this tour were of very limited interest. Lunch was very average ,however, although our guide was verbose he did help add significantly to the day. Overall good in parts may be better to consider taxis rather than this tour.
Was a great tour. We had a really informative and helpful guide. Saw a lot of singapore - loved the 10 courts of hell but need to see more of those gardens. The wave bridge had some spectacular views and was a nice walk. Paid respect to the fallen who are buried in a peaceful and well kept cemetery. Bright hill was an amazing maze of temples. And of course Changi prison - was interesting learning of the hardships and the taking of singapore. We had a very tasty lunch at Baileau House in what was a senior officers house. Lovely. Would highly recommend this tour.
An absolutely brilliant tour that takes you up Mt Faber, to Haw Par Villa and then to the beautiful, immaculate and moving Kranji War Memorial. Fantastic work by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. A terrific lunch Soup, stir fried chicken, fish and vegetables , and Melon at Beaulieu House in Sembawang Park and then off to a huge temple. Very interesting. The last stop was at the Changi Chapel and Museum. Another moving experience. Back into the City on the East Coast Parkway and you really have been round the island. Terrific value for money considering the distances and places covered and lunch. You really couldn't do half of this yourself for the same price. Very knowledgeable guide. Completely recommended.
Picked up from our hotel to join the excursion, which was an excellent tour with a knowledgeable guide. The itinerary was a good mix to get a flavour of the island and its past. The local lunch was good too, and I appreciated the effort made to cater for a vegetarian. Would definitely use Viator again for ease of booking and value for money.
This is principally a coach that takes you to the various venues and then gives you a small amount of time to look around before re-boarding the bus. Some of the venues are very interesting but others like the Haw Par Villa is very poor. The commentary by the guide on the bus is lack luster at best. Lunch was edible but far from authentic. Changi was the highlight of all the stops. There are so many better sights and highlights available than are covered on this tour and better ways to see and gain an appreciation of what Singapore has to offer.
