Would really recommend this Tour to anyone who is interested in the history of WW2 in this area.We had an excellent guide who met us at the MRT station and then took us around to the various sites of WW2 by coach ,even supplying refreshments to us on a short break at Changi beach.Krangi war cemetery is very moving, as is Changi chapel. The tour ends at the Cenotaph near to Clarke Quay which is quite handy if you want to eat on the Quayside. Our guide was excellent ,explaining what happened at every place we stopped off at and was very knowledgeable. An extremely good tour, thank you.
Wonderful tour. Wina our tour guide was fantastic. Only 4 of us on tour, so very personalised, Wina was happy to discuss anything tour related or Singapore in general. I found the tour quite emotional and an excellent insight into WWII from a Singapore perspective. The Chapel and Kranji Cemetry were the highlights to me personally. I loved hearing about highlighted individuals as this gave the tour much more of a personal touch. Highly recommend to anyone with an interest in history or WWII
A must do tour . Although the Changi Museum was closed for renovations the tour took us to Kranji War Memorial as well as the other scheduled stops along the way. We were 8 Australians on our tour and our guide Carol Dragon was brilliant and able to tailor the history from an Australian perspective. She was wonderful - clear and very fluent and understandable, well read and passionate about her country and it's history. She was human and emotional and I especially liked the respectful minute's silence at the Cenotaph.
Highly recommend this tour ! We were met at the Pasir RIs MRT station by the tour guides who both spoke English very well. Tour is very comfortable with limited walking, so it's good for the young and old. Tour takes place on an air conditioned coach - allow 4 hours for full tour. We had 2 teenagers with us 13 and 15 who enjoyed seeing Changi and learning more about the history of WWII in Singapore. Our tour guide Carol was excellent with a depth of knowledge of the WWII history and a passion for sharing and preserving the information. This is definitely one of the best tours we did in Singapore.
Apparently this was the first tour since the closing of the Museum for redevelopment and therefore the first to review.
Our tour guide Carol was wonderful and obviously really has a passion for her job which came across in adundance.
The tour itself is very interesting and Carol keeps us informed every step of the way with stories and antidotes which are very welcome and informative, giving us a perspective that perhaps we hadnt considered before.
This is a really informative tour if you are interested in WW2 history in this region and would definitely recommend, especially if you get Carol as your guide. She deserves 5 stars to herself
