This was a great tour, until they took us to the ginseng factory. It felt like a total scam! We were shuffled around the ginseng place and sent to a room where they tried to sell us overpriced ginseng. We had very limited time in Seoul, and that was an hour we could have spent doing something else. It felt like one of those timeshare presentations, except we didn't get a free cruise following the presentation. For that very reason, I would not recommend this tour.
Turned out ot be a private tour since I was the only participant registered for the day. Miso was my guide and she was very knowledgeable and delightful companion. The UNESCO sites were amazing. It's very helpful to have transportation in Seoul and that's the main reason I choose this tour. It covered a couple of places that I really wanted to see. But in all, it was much more than just transportation. Miso made it a great morning!
A great tour from start to finish! We were lucky to get the same tour guide (Miso) I had had on another tour on Sunday. She was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. She kept us involved and moving to ensure we were able to arrend the portions of the tour that were time sensitive! So fun!
Was nice because the tour was very small, but felt extremely rushed and the tour guide didn't add too much to the experience beyond reading us the placards. Seems like we didn't have the usual person for the tour.
Our tour guide was able to guide us through the palace no problem and had plenty of information. Once we got to the temple it kinda fell apart. She was relying on the guide there to tell us everything. Unfortunately it was national culture day and there was no guide at the temple.
