We had such a great time on this tour. From the beginning, Abe made us feel welcome. He's a very funny character. As you can imagine with a large group of strangers, there is some timidity at first. His jokes and great personality broke the ice.
We stopped at 4 vineyards, each with its own charm. Jacuzzi was the first and my favorite. Be sure not to miss the Olive Press as well.
We had a really fun group, which makes a huge difference. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who loves wine and a little adventure.
Dave B was a great driver and wonderful tour guide. His interest in the winemaker craft came through loud and clear. We learned a lot. His relationship with the region and its people added a nice dimension to his stories. He also paid very careful attention to the travelers. The organization as a whole provided a great service, even going so far as to address dietary needs.
I thought at first that the party bus was going to be problematic. Dave helped seat everyone 5 strategically and set the tone for the trip. It was a great tour. Fun, informative.
Our The Napa Valley Wine tour was postponed due to the fires. They did everything they could to make our day special. Abe our tour guide was awesome! He was funny, witty, and a great chef! Napa and Sanoma was so beautiful and enjoyable. We will definitely book with them again in the future.
We went on this tour at the beginning of September and enjoyed a lovely day. The tour guide was great, very cheerful and informative. It probably helped that the weather was warm and sunny. We stopped off at 5 different vineyards and sampled different wines at each one. The only downside was the extra cost around 10-20 dollars per person at each one to sample the wines, which I felt was quite excessive although they do allow you split the cost/share the wine between 2. We also had a picnic in the gardens of a vineyard which broke the day up a bit as it could have felt quite repetitive. Overall a good day out.
We had the pleasure of having Abe as our tour guide, Friday August 25th. We were picked up at Union Square...easy to find! The tour bus was huge, clean and stocked with water...which you should definitely consume in between wineries! Abe stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge so we could take photos and then back on the bus where we were greeted with mimosas. We were lucky enough to meet a fun group from Boston that made the bus ride even better. This tour is not for you if you can't be personable! We visited 4 wineries...Jacuzzi, Larson Family, Madonna and Kieu Hoang. We loved Larson Family for the laid back feel and their 3 Lab Cab! Abe made the trip lively with some fun music in between stops.
Advice: Eat a good breakfast pasteries provided weren't great Box lunch is a deli sandwich, caprese salad and chips.
Be prepared for a bumpy ride and a long ride back
Bring CASH to tip your driver and the winery employees that assist you during tastings
If you like to have fun, drink some wine and learn a little this tour is for you!
