We decided on this tour our first evening in Rome to get acclimated to the beautiful city. Our tour guide, Amira was so disappointing. Her heavy accident made it extremely difficult to understand at times. When asked how many languages she spoke she said five and English was her weakest. She constantly complained about the walking tourists and many scooters which she called “mosquitoes”. Very unprofessional. Dinner was at a modern restaurant which took a lot longer than needed. When we asked she said the restaurant was very busy. Not the case as there were only a few tables occupied inside and out. We think it was intentional to have less time for the tour. The restaurant was modern and no authentic feel. She basically drove us to each spot and gave us little or no information on each site just the time to return to the van. We do not recommend this tour. This was our fourth tour on our trip and the only one we regret.
The tour guide made this such a fun and interesting night. She drove us around in a nice sized vehicle, knew exactly where she was going, pointed out lots and lots of things as we passed by, went out of the way to show us a couple of things we had questions about, gave us plenty of time at each stop to enjoy. Wow, she was fantastic. Rome at night is definitely different than Rome during the day. If you have an evening available and don't want to do a lot of walking, this is definitely the tour to take.
This was maybe the best tour of all that we purchased. The guide, her name is Amira Betesheva, she made the tour absolutely wonderful. It is obvious she loves her job! We were with another couple from Florida and they were delightful as well. The restaurant we ate at was great! Amira is also a very good driver. We saw so much and I know she went above and beyond what she had to do. I would highly recommend any tour this woman was guiding.
