This tour was fantastic! Well worth every dime! The only thing I would say is that the ad said it was 2.5 hours and it was more like 3.5. This was a bit long for my 80 year old parents but I recommend a rest in St. Georges. The guilds was very helpful and Im glad he waited for us allthere were several old people on the tour and I was grateful for that because my parents dont move very fast.
This is a fantastic tour for those wishing to peruse the grounds of Prague Castle with a friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining tour guide. Had we not participated in this tour, there is a plethora of history, knowledge, and information we would simply have not had access to. Our tour guide was open, extremely knowledgeable, and very flexible if we needed to stop for water along the way.
Your tram ticket is included in the purchase to summit the hill to the castle, and you are permitted to utilize your castle ticket four times within your visit to the castle grounds. We were given recommendations as to what additional sights we could take in during our stay on the grounds at the conclusion of our tour.
We highly recommend this experience to those visiting Prague! This was our first trip to Prague, and our first experience with Viator. We were not disappointed.
We were promised no more than 15 people in the group and we had 20 which made hearing our guide, Sophie, very difficult. There were no electronic aides to make her voice heard as in other tours we have taken and so it was difficult to process information correctly. It was very disappointing that Viator said one thing but did not deliver on this tour.
This was a very informative tour and a great way to learn about the Charles Bridge and the Castle and surrounding structures. The guide, Brigitta, was full of info and anecdotes, though her delivery was quite dry and her voice was soft. The group was a bit large for my taste 28 persons - not the guide's fault - although they did use audio headsets with the guide wearing a microphone to transmit to your earpiece. We had kids with us ages 5, 7, 9 and the earpiece was much too large for them to wear without holding, making it difficult to listen in continuously. Also, it would have been nice for there to be an option to purchase tram tickets for the return directly from the company. They provide the tickets to get you there, but you're on your own to figure how to get back to the bridge.
All in all, informative and escorted, which is exactly what it is meant to be.
