Not a bad tour for the worst time to visit Portland, not in the best season for the real beauty and color. Scott was very informative and a real gentleman in helping on and off van. Scott loves his home town and made me want to come back for another tour.
I have been to Portland a few times but never really saw the city. I figured a tour would be best and was happy I did it. Our tour guide has so mich knowledge to share. He has historical and fun facts about things you wouldn’t think about. He is very nice and outgoing, and makes you feel comfortable. This is my second tour with his company and will do it again!
So much was packed into this tour which was brilliantly led by John, a true star. His knowledge of the city and his great sense of humour kept us rivetted to his informative commentary for the whole trip. Then to cap it all he recommended a superb restaurant for our dinner, the South Park Seafood Restaurant. We are so happy that we took this tour and John, if you are a reader of these blogs, thanks, mate!
The morning tour, led by Jerri, was very interesting and fun! The tour guide did a great job; she was pleasant; she was knowledgeable and excited about the city and its history; and she was a careful driver. The tour provided a good introduction to the beautiful city of Portland. At the end of the tour, a group of us asked to be dropped off at the "food court plaza" where we had fun eating in this unique area a few blocks from our hotel.
We did the Best of Portland City Morning Tour in early August. Let me tell you, we had a great time! Our tour guide Phil was amazing. His boundless energy and sparkling personality were an added plus. He provided much historical and current knowledge of this very nice city. I recommend doing the tour at the start of your visit as it grounds you in many ways. You get a feeling for how the city is laid-out, what's available to do and other helpful hints. I highly recommend this tour and it fully deserves 5 stars. You'll be fortunate if Phil is your tour guide, you won't be disappointed. Thanks!
