Our driver was not at the airport to collect us. I had to pay another private taxi 1600 baht to take us from the airport to our hotel. When leaving Bangkok to Phuket I did WhatsApp message the given number of My Phuket Holiday to Confirm our arrival in the next hour. Upon arriving at Phuket Airport I called the number from WhatsApp 3 x times but no answer.
This company is pretty good. They were on time and waiting for us when we arrived to the airport. The driver from the airport was very friendly. He provided useful information about our hotel and surrounding sites to visit. He provided water and snacks. Our next driver was great as well. He took us site seeing and even walked around with us to find great food. However, when it was time to head back to the airport, the driver was not on time for pickup. When we called, they stated they could not find my reservations. After waiting another 10 minutes, we got a call back at our hotel, stating they found my reservation but it would be an hour before they could send a car out to us. We had to call a cab take us back. That was very disappointing and I didn't even get my money back for that booking.
After just visiting Bali and having a little bit of a bad experience getting a taxi there, we decided to book a transfer for our trip in Phuket and well ... I probably would have skipped this for this location. The reason was it was quite easy to get a taxi in Phuket and the rates were literally the same as this transfer ... so there is that. Secondly I would say that every second the driver could, he would try and pitch some show or event that his company does or would do for a price. Take note here ... the last thing I want after travelling literally for 25 1/2 hours is to hear a sales pitch. Period! I would have liked to see our driver be there waiting for us ... we had to wait around 8 to 10 minutes before they showed up and them welcome us with a nice quite ride to the hotel. The last comment I will make about this is ... he took the most windy road possible and almost made me car sick at times ... not good. On a side note ... it does take on average 1 hour or more to get from the airport to hotels on Patong Beach ... just keep this in mind when planning your trips. I would say I am happy they got me to the hotel safely, but they need to stop the sales tactics and make is a more smooth pleasant ride.
I was very disappointed in this trip. Viator and this company need to improve there communication. I lost my bank card and only had one credit card to use, when I booked this trip I entered my information for both trips to be dropped off and picked up from my hotel. I was given a confirmation letter when I got out of the taxi for my pick up time, I had to re-schedule my times, which they were helpful because I missed my original travel arrangements due to a winter storm. I was on a very strict budget and was tight on funds because I had lost my back card, the only advise and help the company gave was, they told me I purchased a one way travel voucher from the airport to my hotel, and this was Viator's fault because they have you enter both your arrival and departure details. Please do not make this mistake you are only purchasing a one way voucher. Luckily my hotel gave me a complimentary airport shuttle after me explaining this miscommunication. It was a very stressful time, I don't appreciate the lack of consideration and blame on viator this consumer chose to do. Would not book again
