Not to be missed. Our tour guide was extremely well-read on the subject of WWII, it's place in history and the effect it has had on France. He not only gave in depth depiction of all the battles and time line, he even provided photos of then and now. The rain didn't hamper our tour at the beaches or the cemetery. We just kept going. Our small group of three was the way to go. Only drawback was the small church van we rode in. I would recommend they offer their small groups a more comfortable, upgraded and updated form of transport. The three hour drive is a gorgeous ride through French farming villages. Reminded me of Ireland. Book it!!
This was awesome. The drive was great and we were picked up on time. As we drove through Paris the guide pointed out great features. At Normandy he was very informative and motivated to make sure our tour was awesome. The free time to roam was great as well. Couldn't have asked for a better tour.
This trip was an amazing introduction to the Normandy area. It was a long trip from Paris, but our guide was an amazing resource and chatted the entire way. He was like a human history book!! We felt rushed a few times just because of all the sites we visited in our short day. Again, excellent intro tour!
Everythiing about the day was good. The beches and sights of Normandy were impressive and the visit made a strong impact on us. Ricardo, our guide, was superb, providing just enough information and keeping us on schedule withoug being invasive or domineering. He was knowledgeable and helpful in every way. Plus we had perfect weather!
This tour was terrific. It was a long day, 6:30 am to 6:30 pm but worth it. It is unfortuante that there isn't enough time to spend more time at each location but it couldn't be helped within the time frame of the tour. The tour guide, Fabrize, briefed us on the itinerary on the drive from Paris to Normandy. He kept on schedule. We were lucky that the people in our group respected the time frames and returned promptly so we could keep on time.
Each stop involved Fabrize providing information about the site and showing us around. Then we had free time to explore on our own.
This is one of the most moving experiences I've ever had. I will certainly go back and spend more time on my own.
Fabrize was wonderful. He's extremely knowlegable and was able to provide details and information as well as guidance on how to spend our free time.
He even kept the two plus hour drive to and from Paris interesting and informative.
This tour was one of the highlights of our recent trip to France. As it turned out, we were the only ones on the tour with our guide, Natalie. She was very friendly, informative, and accommodating. Our day began with a 2 1/2 hour ride in a comfortable van to the area. We stopped briefly for breakfast. Every stop was a moving and humbling experience. Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery. Beautiful ride through the countryside. Natalie took us to a small town for a delicious lunch on the water. Then to Caen to the museum. Back by dinner time. A memorable day. Do not miss.
Our tour guide Vincent was excellent. He paced the tour appropriately and allowed most time at the sites we were most interested in particularly Point du Hoc, Omaha beach, the American cemetery, and Arromanche. Vincent provided just the right amount of overview and then allowed us some time to explore these solemn grounds on our own. Great tour guide.
We were picked up promptly at our hotel. Our guide was curtious and extremely knowledgeable. We we glad that we chose a small group setting as we were ahead of every tour bus that came through. We were so impressed with everything about this side trip from Paris. Is a trip that will be never forget.
