My daughter an I thoroughly enjoyed our Segway tour of Paris, it was definitely a highlight for us. I thought we'd have trouble getting through the crowds, but we zipped along and had a great time. Highly recommended and would definitely do it again. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable, we definitely learned a lot from her.
This was a great way to see Paris. We did the 3 hour private tour and saw all the major sites. Our guide was great, sharing the history of the different landmarks and offering tips if we wanted to go back and spend more time at the attractions. We did this the first day of our trip to learn how to get around and decide where we wanted to spend more time. If you only had a short time in town this is the way to go!
Karolina was a fantastic tour guide, friendly caring and informative. The segway tour allowed us to see so much of this beautiful city in such a short time. With a family of 4 with limited time, it gave us the chance to view the main sights with a brief history overview without it all being too overwhelming. Our two teenage boys loved it, none of us had been on a segway before but picked it up so quick. Plenty of photo opportunites. I would highly recommend this tour and Karolina as a guide.
Our family has found that Segways are a great introduction to a new city. With two teens who wouldn't be all that interested in a walking, biking, or bus tour, the Segways make touring great fun. Segway are easy to learn and fun to ride. Paris was a bit more of a challenging city to Segway than some others we have been to because of the traffic and congestion, but it worked out and we were able to see many of the popular sites and get a feel for where things were in the city. We toured just after Bastille day, so the Champs-Elysées was still filled with bleachers and gates that were challenging to get around. I feel like the Segways would be easier under normal circumstances. Even though Segways keep you from having to walk, they are tiring and you are on your feet the whole time. In our experience, we find 90 minutes up to 2 hours is the best time for a tour. We did a 90 minute, private tour in Paris and it was a perfect amount of time. We liked our tour guide, she was personable and friendly, but she had only been in Paris for about a month and a half, so she wasn't the most knowledgeable guide ever.
Wendy (our guide) was brilliant, the tour was very personal with just the two of us and Wendy. We saw so much of Paris and learnt lots in such a short period of time - it would've taken much longer and been much more tiring on foot! Segways are very fun and will definitely be coming back!
