What a fantastic experience! Patrick’s education at the market was wonderful. All the things we made were delicious and I believe I can replicate them at home. The quality of the foods he picked were top notch. His insights for both technique and practicality were refreshing. I will do this again and highly recommend it!!
I was looking forward to our Paris cooking class for months and it did not disappoint. Loved exploring the markets, picking out our menu items, meeting new friends and learning the recipes. Chef Patrick was very accommodating to the needs of everyone in the group. Only wish it could have lasted longer.
If you enjoy cooking, this is a great class. Chef Jean spoke perfect English. The market tour was so interesting. He let us choose what we wanted to cook without thinking about cost. We had cheeses, a squid first course, duck breast and roasted potatoes for main, and plum tatin with custard sauce for dessert. All delicious, including the wines. We appreciated his patience and humor dealing with we Americans and Australians. It was really a fun class in a professional kitchen. Very hands on. One of the highlights of our time in France and worth every penny.
INCREDIBLE. Simply a must do tour and eating!! The only hiccup could be that the group as a whole must decide on the menu since you are jointly cooking together, so hope your group only has 1 allergy need. We did and turned out to be still a wonderful meal! I'd be willing to go back again because, wow it's Paris and French food!
Learning from an experienced French chef was such an amazing experience. Chef Hebert walked us through the market to teach us about the customs and cultures of French Cuisine as well as how to pick good products in order to make a wonderful meal. After spending time in the market we went to the culinary school and prepared our meal. As we worked Chef taught us along the way and we sat down to a wonderful lunch. I have already brought the meal back to the states and prepared it for my family! I highly recommend this class and look forward to bringing my daughters back for the kids class!
Jean was fantastic. Our group made a great goose New Year's Eve dinner with scallops, escargot, cheeses, bread, and a pear dessert with wine that we decided on and purchased while at the market. Jean also gave a lot of insights into Parisian markets and the functioning of them and the ingredients for Parisian cooking. Not only recommended, but a definite candidate for a repeat outing next time I am in Paris!
