A terrific way to sample delicious examples of local food. Eric was an excellent guide with food, cultural and historical knowledge, along with a great sense of humour.
Our tour took us to several quality outlets, starting with coffee and finishing with wine and cheese. We would never have found these places ourselves and appreciated very much the list Eric sent us in the evening.
Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Such a lovely way to learn about another culture.
This is a must do and was one of our favorite things that we did in Paris. Eric, our guide, was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The pace was just right and gave us the opportunity to visit the little local shops that we would never find on our own. Eric not only told us about the delicious food - and wine - we enjoyed, but gave us a side of history. Eric also emailed us a list of the 7 places we visited with a reminder of what we had tasted. He also sent us a list of restaurants in Montmartre along with info about each one. We loved this tour with Eric and highly recommend it!
It was a good tour with several interesting points of interest on the way around. Arno, our guide, was on his first tour assisted by Julie who was an experienced guide. Between them they had good wine and food knowledge and were very welcoming. There were 12 people on the tour which seemed about right. I have given this tour a four star rating because it was good but the wine tasting was a bit stingy.
My 18 yo daughter and I enjoyed this wonderful tour with Julie and Eric. Very informative, interesting background on Montmartre and French living. We enjoyed the espresso, spice shop, chocolatier, a coupe of bakeries, ice cream and cheese and wine stops and tastings. Thank you for a truly wonderful tour and experience!
Tour taken on 4/11/18. This was an amazing tour of Montmartre with an excellent guideCamille. There were several stops sweet shop for chocolate, coffee shop for some espresso, spice shop, sorbet shop with the most delicious original flavors I have ever tasted, two pastry shops one with a savory Bleu Cheese Pan and another with a sweet light snack, the highlight was a lunch with some foie gras, cured meats, cheese, and some great wine at a very quaint restaurant. Camille also included stops at the Wall of Love and the Basilica du Sacre Couer which had an outstanding view of paris. Camille communicated with us one day prior to confirm our tour and was at the schedule meeting spot prior to the scheduled meeting time. Camille was so sweet she even brought some chilled bottled water. I would definitely recommend this tour as you will not be disappointed.
Excellent. Our tour guide was fantastic. Knowledgeable, helpful, fun, and entertaining. We recommend this tour. Was not what we expected, but we were unsure of what to expect. Mostly a walking food tour of Montmartre. The area is fantastic. The food was awesome. We would do this again, especially knowing what to expect. If you want to see a truly unique and beautiful area of Paris and enjoy some incredible local food, this s for you. Viator has been great for all our tours. Oh, and our group was fun!
We were actually rebooked for the Saint Germaine food and wine tour because of protests and strikes in the Montmarte area. Camille was our guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. She showed us a wide range of interesting local, artisan foods, constantly explaining the unique and important place the many foods hold in maintaining the rich history of agriculture, knowledge and passion for purity. We have remarked many times since how much we enjoyed ourselves and how much we learned! Absolutely a must do.
Great experience for a family of four! Our guide was knowledgable and made an extra effort to accommodate the vegetarian in our group. Everything we tasted was delicious and we never would have found these particular places on our own. I'd recommend starting with an empty stomach so that you can get the maximum enjoyment as it is a lot of food!
