This excursion would rate 5-Star if not for a couple things. Firstly there could've been and should be better advance communication between Royal Hawaiian Limousine our contact once on the Island of Oahu and us. Example Flight times and numbers, places and time to meet the bus once at the airport in Oahu etc. This, especially since the trip was booked 3.5 months in advance of excursion date. Secondly This excursion is being billed as a Pearl Harbor Full Day experience with a Honolulu city drive by-no bus exit tour if time permits. Well, the tour was late getting started due to a late arrival by plane of two passengers. If it was me that was late, I could, and would, appreciate Royal Hawaiian waiting the extra 45 minutes before leaving the airport. However, our time at Pearl Harbor and the sights there was cut short for the city tour which should have been the tour that was eliminated due to time constraints. Time lost visiting the Aviation Museum was sacrificed for the city tour and trip back to the airport for return flight to Maui. This was disappointing to me, I'd rather have the FULL Pearl Harbor Experience. Our driver, Manny, from Royal Hawaiian was courteous, funny, informative, and helpful so the problem wasn't with him just the lack of pre-trip communication and the shifting of tour priorities which negates a 5 star rating. It's a special place- Pearl Harbor- I'm happy to have made the tour. Jim B Schaumburg Ill.
Pearl Harbor itself was good, but the tour arrangements had a few problems. First, there was no hotel pickup in Maui despite information from Viator that this was included. Second, there was no prior information about what to expect on the day of the tour. I ended up showing up at the airport, getting my boarding pass, and arriving in Oahu with still no information on what to expect. Another phone call to the tour provided in Oahu let me know to wait for a shuttle bus due in 30-45 minutes. Once at Pearl Harbor, admission tickets were handed out and we were on our own. I still don't know if I was supposed to have a lunch or not. It was out of the tour company's control, but the shuttle buses between the monuments were on a greatly reduced schedule which meant long lines and short tempers when going between sites. Glad I had the opportunity to see Pearl Harbor, but not sure I would do it this way again.
