The most amazing tour we have ever been on. There are really no words to give it justice. The way the tour is set out is fantastic and the narrated version is full of all the facts you need. We had lunch at the Aviation Museum and it was a very yummy light lunch of fish, pork, rice and salad. Do take your time to see it all as the tour gives you plenty of time for that. The most amazing part was going out onto the boat and seeing the Arizona memorial and all the names of the lives that were lost that day. . Do pick a calm day to go because if the waters get choppy the coast guard will not allow the ships to dock at the Arizona memorial.
We decided to go and see it all at Pearl Harbour, the Arizona memorial, Battleship Missouri, USS Bowfin submarine and The Pacific Aviation Museum it was well worth the money and something I would highly recommend. You are given headsets with which you can listen to the history and details at each venue.
Our tour guide of bus 51, I think, was a lovely 50 something Hawaiian woman who was absolutely fabulous, we are trying to remember her name, sorry I am really bad at names, it was something like Kaiwama ?? She gave us lots of history and interesting information about Pearl Harbour and the surrounding area. We had a great day. Thank you.
Oh my! What a WONDERFUL DAY!! Ask for Charlie! He is a most excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and fun to be with. He truly cares about his islands and wants you to enjoy them too. Pearl Harbor has been on our bucket list for years. We are so happy we spent the whole day soaking up the history that shaped our country. Charlie made the whole day memorable.
