We were happy with Swastik India Tour for managing this tour. We booked the four star option. The price is unbelievable but the cost of living in India is low except when you go to a good restaurant expect to pay the same as in US plus high taxes including air condition tax and service tax which is not the gratuity. The hotels included are local four stars but we have to say the one at Agra Ramada Plaza is very good. The Delhi Regent Grand is ok but not in nice area. The hotel in Jaipur was supposed to be Royal Orchid opposite BSNL office which according to description a true 4 to 5 star place but we were taken instead to Royal Orchid Central a noisy 2star to our observation. After our persistent protest we were transferred to Golden Tulip suite which we were very happy. You will be pleased to see all the marvelous sites but to to tolerate the long drives between towns and to accept the amount of trash and poor folks you see everywhere.
Our private driver Sumir is very good.
If you want to see the main sites, and are limited for time this is the tour for you. The sites were amazing and I mean amazing they blew me away. The people are so lovely and didn't feel threatened walking round night markets on our own. You must accept the driving time is long but I can tell you its worth it. The tour guides in the main were ok but you really did need to listen . Beware of them taking you to acquaintances local restaurants they are expensive and you will get taken to carpet and jewellery stores they get money if you buy. I have just got to say our driver Gordon was just superb. Cant wait to go back.
Wonderful trip - great hotels, knowledgable tour guides and fantastic service. Our driver Mr Prakash was especially great, and an asset to the company.
No hesitations whatsoever to recommend this tour. We got to see most of North India in a short space of time and have left the country with lovely memories.
Thank you so much!
Overall, i was very satisfied with this tour. Every hotels and guides were nice. Especially, my guide in jaipur whose name is Sanjay was awesome Although it took 34 hours from 1 city to another city, i didn't care about that because there was nothing i can do about the locations of each city.
If you are trying to see most famous things in India in short time, i think this tour will be nice choice.
there were some visitings to shops , but i could skip if i didn't want to but anything.
I enjoyed the trip overall but there were significant issues with the tour. First, there was a lot of driving with 2.5 of the five days in the car. The driver would take detours and not know the directions- for example, for the first night, he could not find the hotel and instead, we had to take bikes with all of our luggage to it. Due to the long drives, we had to miss many of the sights that we were signed up to see. The tour coordinator who was with us the whole time spoke very limited English and would not tell the group accurate timing or destinations. The tour guides who met us in each city were each very nice, but varied in expertise the one in Delhi gave us little information about the sights. Also, they would take us to shops to gain personal profit when none of us were interested in the overpriced gifts. The hotels and breakfasts were very nice, but the lunch spots were overpriced as well. India, with its sights Agra Fort, Humayan's Tomb, Taj Mahal and more, is a beautiful and amazing place and not one to miss, but I would not recommend this tour.
