The driver Asif was very professional and an excellent driver. He was on time and very helpful. We went on a camel ride at first which was well organised and the camels were well looked after. Our trip was a memorable experience, marvellous views through the Atlas Mountains. We could not speak highly enough of our guide Hassan. His knowledge and his spoken English was very good. We were able to see traditional homes and lifestyles. Our lunch was excellent. Away from the busy city of Marrakesh it was so rewarding to see different areas that depicts the real Morocco.
330/5000The trip was very well organized and we liked it a lot. Especially our tour guide Karim was very helpful and showed us a lot and explained. Overall, we enjoyed the trip.Unfortunately, we were traveling with another couple. Actually, we had expected a private tour for two and not for four .
We had a great time with Hassan on this trip. Bit of confusion with the collection as we had been told by the office to meet at a location whereas Hassan had gone to our Riad. Soon sorted and Hassan picked us up. Couple of hours on the road through the winding mountain roads and clearly he knew the roads well as many were damaged following land slides. Arriving in the mountains we were joined by another family who came on the walk with us. The guide was patient waiting where required (I had been full of a cold for a couple of days and have a heart condition). The area is really beautiful and the local guide knew everything about the area. Lunch was a lovely tagine prepared and cooked in the home. Overall amazing experience I would do again with a warm welcoming host.
Omar nice happy lad brought us to the atlas mountains we had a funcamelride from 30 mins and with another nice man a walkingtrip 2,5 hours up in the mountains(wear good shoes and b fit)and Berber lunch.. was great but didnt liked stops to buy something felt pushed.rest was worth the trip!!.
Precise pick up by our perfect guide Rashid, an Atlas mountain local who obviously was very proud to show us his homeland and provided very useful and interesting information all the way. Beautiful sceneries, a fun camel ride and a great hike through a hillside village, following a little river to a waterfall where we got served fresh pressed, cold juice. The day ended with a lunch in a village house chicken Tajine.., which, if I should add anything that could change, could be a bit more time efficient in the end I had to look up our guide as, after 2 hours by the table, we were done and ready for departure... A highly recommendable guided day trip and a welcome break from the busy/noisy down town Marrakech. A good tip is to bring a bottle of water, wear a hat or a cap and comfortable and practical footwear mountain shoes not necessary, but avoid sandals and flipflops...
When we had only a day and a half in Marrakech, this tour was an easy choice for the full day—it had camels! By the end of the day the camels were just a side bar to the of spending a day in the mountain region with our guides Mestafa and Hasan.
Mestafa came right at 9, oriented us to the day, and took great care that we were comfortable and made sure we had everything we would need for the day. The car was nice and had a good air conditioner. We felt very safe. He is a superior driver and it was nice to see that everyone he knew along the way greeted him so warmly and with such respect. Mestafa encouraged us to let him know any time we wanted to stop to take a photo and he took several photos of us as a group.
Argan oil stop. At first we worried it was like macadamia places in Hawaii—until we saw the quality of the oil and the very reasonable prices compared with Marrakech. Later in the day when we heard that these are the only places widows, single women, divorced can work—wished I had purchased more.
Riding the camels was everything we had hoped, very safe and so much fun. The views became more and more spectacular until we arrived in the town of Imlil. The tagines cooking at the roadside stands smelled so good I said “Oh, I’m hungry! Smells so good! When do you think we might eat?” (Also being diabetic I was worried about managing my insulin pump if exercise was coming up). Mestafa was going to rearrange the entire day to take us to the guesthouse for lunch right then! Not even my family would be as accommodating.
We had tea with our guide for the hike, Hassan. He was very sensitive to my concerns about low blood sugar, maintained a manageable pace and even carried my bag the whole time so I could have an easier time. The walk through the villages wasn’t too strenuous. It was our 11-year-old’s favorite part of our time in Morocco. So much insight into history, people, society, agriculture, way of life! Our tremendous appreciation and thanks to Mestafa and Hassan! And to the gentleman who welcomed us to his guest house for lunch. Thank you!
We hope to return, we hope it is soon, and we hope it will be with Mestafa and Hassan.
Unbelievably amazing...The tour guide met the group from the hotel at 9 am. Explained the plan for the day, assisted us well all throughout the trip from camel riding...which is scary at first but reassured and enjoyed our time to berber valley for lunch, hiking for a break near waterfalls and enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice to going back to the hotel. it was exhausting but worth it. No regrets and can do it again on our next visit. Salute to 2 gorgeous men, SAID, our gorgeous tour guide and ABDUL KHALIF, driver, who smiled all day and gave us happy faces on photos....You have got to experience to know. a big THANK YOU TO Said and Abdul Khalif again.
A fantastic day trip and well worth doing. Issmail, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and offered great insight throughout the trip. Our driver Karim was also excellent. The scenery was superb, the camel ride was just the right length and the lunch was fantastic with sweeping views of the mountains and valley. Highly recommended for anyone spending time in Marrakech.
Our full day trip to atlas mountains was amazing. The camel ride was fun and the food was amazing. The views were really nice and so was the walk we had. Since there was not many other tourists on this path made it more peaceful and relaxing. The waterfall was really beautiful. Our driver hasan was a nice guy and even let us play music on his phone. Our guide, Said, was really nice and had a lot of information on the various questions we had for him.
