This was an excellent tour. Our guide Steve M. was very knowledgeable about every area we visited. He answered all questions that the tour group threw at him. He also had a great sense of humor that kept the trip going. Our driver Malcolm was fantastic. He kept the coach moving smoothly. I recommend this trip highly for people who want a overall view of the British Monarch's living quarters, and several areas that had a big impact on the Untied Kingdoms history.
My husband and I booked this tour as part of our honeymoon. It was a LONG day without a doubt, but it was super worth it. We arrived to Windsor before the gates opened and had a little bit of a wait. Our tour guide, Kathy, was great. She was super informative and clearly had a great passion for the things she showed up, you can easily spend your whole day there, though we were allotted around 45 minutes to an hour to venture around. Unfortunately, we were a little behind schedule for the rest of the day due to a few folks arrive back to bus late at all stops. When we arrived to Stonehenge there was an issue with the buses so by the time we were taken up to view the formation, we only had about 20 minutes before we had to be back on the bus ready to head to lunch. Lacock was a cute little town and the food was great. The time at Bath was also amazing. We ended up opting for the tour through the Roman Baths not included with your ticket price and got there just in time before they stopped allowing ticket sales. They are truly a sight to see, I would highly recommend seeing them if you arrive in time. The drive back to London from Bath is a long drive, 3 hours if I remember correctly. Overall, I 100 recommend this tour to anyone wanting to knock a few things off their to see list without spending a whole day there.
Our tour guide was amazing! He even played some Peter Gabriel and Sting songs, using his phone over the bus PA system. I forget his name, but he was great! I wish we had more time at Stonehenge. We had enough time to grab the shuttle up to the rocks, then a super fast 5 minutes at the gift shop. Bottom line is my Wife and I traveled from Portland Oregon USA to see Stonehenge and we had a wonderful day! Thank you so much! This was a good price for what we got.
Great tour. Daniel and Steven where great. Learned a lot about London. Coach was comfortable. My only complaint is I felt rushed. But I guess to get everything in we had to rush.. lunch at lacock was decent. The little tour around the block was great. Stevenew a lot and enjoyed hearing about the history.
To start, Lucy and Malcolm (our guide and Gentleman driver) were excellent guides and hosts. Be aware this is a whirlwind day tour, lots of walking, and very little time in each place, but knowing that going in, this was a great tour and we had a wonderful day. Our guides knew their business and were able to maximize our time at each location. This trip was well worth it. We were able to see Windsor Castle, Bath, eat in an a very old pub (food filled a whole, but bonus was it was in a town that parts of the Harry Potter movies were filmed in)), and of course Stonehenge, which was worth the whole trip by itself. Lucy was informatiive and provided excellent background on each place. She also ensured we were in the right places at the right times (which was helpful given we had limited time at each location). Malcolm was the consummate Gentleman driver and skillfully got us where we needed to be, which was no small feat considering the roads, traffic and busy locations we went to. You could spend a day or more in each location, but I guess that's the point. We only had 1 day and wanted to see Stonehenge, but didn't think a whole day at Stonehenge was optimal. Stonehenge is amazing and a must see, but a whole day would be too much for most people. The balance here was a wonderful taste of each, which know provides the incentive to return to the ones we want to spend more time at. Bath and Windsor are each full day or longer places to visit. Lacock was the perfect amount of time. Stonehenge is, well, Stonehenge. Be on time (all day by the way-as I said it was whirlwind), wear comfortable shoes, bring some snacks and water and have fun! When you go to Windsor, hit the State Rooms first (farthest away from where to need to be) which will give you time to see the Cathedral as well, you have time if you don't dawdle, This get you outside the walls with time to grab a bite if you like and do some shopping. Bath you have several options, we opted to shop for our grand daughters, so can't give you much more advice on visiting the site there. LaCock is small, so you can eat, walk the town and see the Church and the HP locations, which leaves plenty of time for Stonehenge. Wonderful long day that will remain in our memories. Not mandatory, but there is a guide tipping jar at the front of the bus that goes to the guide and the driver. Be generous if you feel they did a good job. We did and were. Much deserved for such a fast-paced, well thought out and outstanding tour.
