Great value, basically ended up with 4 attractions as the U Boat Museum was included with the River Cruise, very good value and all parts of the ticket were greatly enjoyed by us all. Good historical commentary on boat, very entertaining guide on bus and the Cathedral Tower tour was amazing with brilliant views across Liverpool. Fully recommend ! :
Buses run hourly so takes a long time to get anywhere. Cathedral Tower closes 4.30 and costs 7 which is included but it's free entry to cathedral. Catholic cathedral not included.
The bus stop is a long way from the cathedral. Last bus 5pm.
Ferry very good and U boat experience.
All in all over priced. But a great weekend away staying in the Albert dock.
Our Liverpool excursion was excellent. The ferry across the Mersey, perfect. The bus excursion was delightful, and although I didn't make it to the top of the Cathedral, claustrophobia, my wife and I thought the cathedral was beautiful, and even enjoyed a delightful lunch on the grounds. We did view the embroidery exhibit at the Cathedral. Liverpool, and the Beatles history was just right for us.
All the elements of this tour were great. We did not have long to explore the city so these 3 activities gave us a good overview and we saw all the famous landmarks
Just one thing, the ticket would have cost £56 for a family of 4 had I bought it at the ferry terminal. Not £71 which I paid here!
luckily we had a dry day so we could sit outside on the river trip We didn't get off on the Birkenhead side as we didn't know how long the bus tour would take. Other passengers said the Star wars exhibition was not worth stopping for anyway. It was nice to see Liverpool from the water and hear the commentary. We then went straight to the bus tour. What a great trip again excellent as we could sit on the open top deck. There was just so much to taken in as there are so many interesting sights that we would have liked to get get some sort of hand out to help us when we walked part of the tour afterwards. We didn't have time to use the cathedral part of the ticket so would only book a 2 part day ticket next time if that was an option but Cindy our bus tour guide was really good, funny, informative and really friendly.
The River Cruise was actually a working ferry that went to different ports in a circle. Would not waste my time on this but it was very good touring the UBoat museum which you need to take the ferry to this stop. The hop on and hop off buts was good to view Liverpool. Most people were interested in the Beattle Museum and show but we were not so that seemed the biggest thing in Liverpool
