We took the electric bike tour of Red Rock Canyon on March 30. The wind was gusting at 40 miles per hour and we only saw one other person out there on a bike. It was a little scary but fun and interesting. Irving was our guide -delightful young man who didn't mind our whining and let us decide how much we wanted to push ourselves. We saw Blue Diamond, a quaint but real town and Bonnie Springs ranch, a pretend frontier town, sweet but a little sad. The scenery was beautiful and Irving pointed out birds and rock formations and shared some history of the area. It was a great ride and break from the strip. Honestly though, we are most excited to tell friends how two 60 year olds fought the wind and won impossible without electric power behind us!. Thanks Irving!
The 4 of us booked this tour for a birthday outing, three of us are sisters. We all had a great time in red rock canyon, that was mostly due to a tour guide named Sally. Even though it was supposed to be her day off she came in due to a over booking we found out later. The electric bikes were awesome just the boost we needed to get us up some of those steep hills. We ended up getting in about 18 miles, saw a lot of the canyon. Would do it again, Thanks again Sally for making our trip so fun and memorable.
We had a great ride, the pedal assist making the uphill part a pleasure, but still challenging enough to feel it in my legs the next day. The fresh air in my lungs and we sped downhill was exhilarating. The time went by far too fast. Would recommend doing the early ride if you are not used to the hot sun.
