Stop during journey was not announced we stopped to buy some souvenirs.
They offer an option to come back by boat once you are there, it should be included in some package before. They should renew the bus, it was the oldest one in our trip in Vietnam, very narrow and dirty.
Despite of that, tour was totally worth it, guide explained us very interesting aspects.
We joined a half-day group tour. The Tunnels are impressive! The tour had good english speaking guide and he told us some interesting facts. Very tiny tunnels that show how difficult it would have been during war time. It's possible to explore the tunnels it's a little claustrophobic inside.
Tin was a great laugh, full of good information and stories. The bus was air conditioned and was okay. We stopped at an Agent Orange place that sold enamelware, cheaper elsewhere, but to a good cause. The tunnels and the whole experience was better than expected. Not a kitsch as I thought it may be. Tin definitely added to our knowledge and the experience. Other groups did not seem to be getting the same sort of experience. I would recommend this tour for a good half day experience.
Enjoyed the tour but expected to go into bigger tunnels where you would get a sense of experience how they coped with life during the War. Our guides English was not good and he talked much to fast to understand what we would experience he also carried out his information before All the group was assembled. The transport was an old bus a real Bone Shaker.
Fantastic tour! Well worth the experience.
Our tour guide Hi was very knowledgeable and informative. Was great to meet other travellers along the way as well. Only advice would be to pack some snacks as lunch is not included.
