Everything well well except the local guide was a little late picking us up. As a result, the water puppet show started when we arrive at the theatre. It is well worth watching the show and admiring at the dexterity of the puppet masters, who revealed themselves at the end of the show, are young and enthusiastic. Although we did not understand the singing and dialogue, they were very well synchronised with the movements of the puppets. Following the show, we were transported to the pier for our dinner cruise by cyclo. The cyclo ride is very enjoyable as it offers an evening tour of the city weaving in and out of the traffic. The cruise ship is large and stable. We did not feel that we were on a boat all at. The fixed food menu was good and they are able to cater for food preferences with advance notice. At the end of the crusie, we were all visibly relaxed and were transported back to the hotel. Overall, a very good experience.
The water puppet show was great however we missed a lot of scenes from the show because our guide was 30 minutes late. We were asked to wait at 5:45 in our hotel lobby but she came at 6:15. The cyclo ride was a good experience, it gave us a city tour of Ho Chi Minh at night. Dinner was so so.
We were taken on a cyclo ride from the hotel to the water puppet theatre and loved the experience. The show was something different and also enjoyable. But we were not very impressed with the dinner cruise. We thought the food was just average and there wasnt enough entertainment on board.
Our Tour guide was amazing! She was so lovely and spoke good English. The tour was awesome the only thing that might need to be clarified is the cylo ride. Both myself and mum were hounded by our drivers to give them tips( which is fine) but then our guide also paid as it was included in the tour
We were picked up from hotel and taken to water puppet show which we really enjoyed. The cyclo ride to the boat was an eye opener with traffic being extremely busy and found they expected to be tipped. The meal on the boat trip provided good choices and we were escorted back to the hotel by our guide she was great.Would recommend this tour as a fun night out
Pathetic dining experience. It was an overcrowded, noisy boat with nearly 500 people. Utter chaos prevailed as we tried to get our guide to understand that we eat only Chicken and Seafood. After much negotiations we were left with paltry servings of dried rice and stale starters. This was no where close to being idyllic, romantic or a quiet evening. I would definitely NOT recommend this tour or the TNK travels because I have been swindled big time
