The problem with this tour is that Viator gave us the wrong address as to where to go to join the tour. The address was non-existent. The phone number for the local contact was disconnected. This caused us a lot of stress and wandering around in hot, humid weather. It took two expensive, international long distance phone calls to Viator to resolve the issue though they eventually got us to the right place. I hope they update the info on their website and in their confirmation emails in the future.
As for the tour itself, it was quite good once we connected with the company and found where to get the bus. The tour itself was a nice one of the city, and the tour guide was excellent. Bus was air-conditioned and comfortable.
Aviation museum is a worthwhile stop, and the chance to see the lie of the land all around Darwin was good. Our driver/guide was an amiable fellow but quite inarticulate and his commentary became garbled at points. I heard another person on this tour whose driver had been a more chatty and bright young woman say this was a good tour, so I think we were just a bit unlucky to draw the short straw with Simon.
This tour and the WWII Historical tour seriously overlapped. Was disappointed the bus did not stop in the city areas to allow us to take photos but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it. This tour took us to the aircraft museum instead of the World War II oil storage tunnel, which I appreciated since we were planning to go to this museum. It also took us to the East Point Reserve and allowed us to take photos, etc. It also gave us time to visit the Museum and Art Gallery. I loved doing this tour because it gave me the opportunity of seeing places which were on my agenda and further out of the city. Would recommend this tour.
