Loved this day trip to Chichen Itza with the Cenote swim. The tour guide, Cesar, was very knowledgeable and provided such a wonderful commentary on the rich history of the Mayans. Lunch was very tasty and there was a variety for every palate. The cenote was very cool. Long day (12 hours) but totally worth it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!
Found the shopping at first place with Buffett much to long, 25 minutes efore lunch and 50 minutes after. Our tour guide was ok, spoke in Spanish and English but seemed there was a lot more said in Spanish, if you are English going on this tour ask for Marco, he was our guide at the site itself and was fantastic.
We were a big group picked up from the Hotel Zone. Estimated travel time was pretty much accurate. Our tour guide, Franck, was delightful and knowledgeable about Mayan culture. Particularly loved his anecdotes and spiel on the Mayan calendar. He was accompanied by the tour bus driver, Raymond who was equally helpful and courteous. Enjoyed our experience although it was a hot and tiring day. Definitely worth it!
This tour was a great value for your money. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and even though this was my second time to Chechen Itza, I felt like I learned a lot. Lunch was fine, but I would have rather spent the time allotted at the tourist shop to additional time at the archeological site. There was just not enough time to see everything. Plus, there are a TON of vendors there [WAY TOO many if you ask me]. We did not encounter a single biting insect, so do not bother with insect spray. Do take several bottles of water and enough cash to buy a slushy at the end [$4 USD]. It is super hot. Also – if your hotel provides umbrellas, take one to keep the sun off of you. You can also rent one there. Take a towel and swimsuit as the cenote swim was ‘an exceeds expectations’. It was WONDERFUL – beautiful, and refreshing. I felt like I was on a movie set. I wish we had had more time there as well. Altogether a terrific day. My only concern is that Amigo did not text me about hotel pick-up times the day before until almost 5:00 pm. This should be done way earlier in the day.
the experience was amazing and that was thanks to the guide assign. after missing the first time booked excursion they were able to rebook me again the next day for a short fee and honestly was worth the trip. Once at chichen itza we didnt have much more time to visit the other ruins since the explanation took a bit of time wich was normal for those who were interested in the history of that place and the mayas. at least we took great pictures and the rest is memory. i would recommend to anyone this tour. Great ppl and great tour
We had and amazing time. Bus picked us up at our hotel at around 7am. We had one stop at around 11 to eat at a restaurant and the food was delicious. Then we went to chichen itza and were there for about 2 hours then we went to a cenote which was beautiful. Our tour guy ceaser I think was his name was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful and made us feel very safe. We got back to our hotel at about 7pm.
