Absolutely fantastic, well worth the money. Both tour guides were full of useful tips. Would definitely recommend and would use again.
Get up early though to miss the crowds, we caught the 7.30am bus in Banff. It was worth the early start.
Not a typical hop on hop off two buses operate on a trip out and back the reverse stops which means long time at each hop off waiting for the next bus. The guide's provided excellent advice and demonstrated an extensive knowledge of the area as well as a genuine desire to preserve for the future.
The school bus arrived at the train station for pick up right on time. Dominique, our guide was very nice. She gave us a little bit of information on the area as we headed to Johnson Canyon. We were given our route and times of pickup. The stop at Johnson Canyon was a little long. The falls were beautiful and we had a very nice, albeit expensive lunch there. However the biting bugs were terrible both in the restaurant and outside. This could be a 1 1/2 hour stop instead of 2 hours. Once again the bus arrived within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. We had a new guide Louis. I felt that he could have given us some more information while we rode to the next stops. All in all we felt that we indeed get our money's worth from this tour. We spent a full day 8 1/2 hours touring the sites of Banff and Lake Louise as well as lake moraine. No stressful driving and wonderful vistas.
My son and I were hoping to go to Johnson Creek but it was shut off, which was a bit of a disappointment, however our guide suggested going to Lake Louise gondola and then going to Lake Louise and do the walk to Agnes Lake. Well I wasn't disappointed the gondola was ok but the walk to Agnes Lake was superb so long as you don't mind the trek about 3.5 Km. The views on the way are great and when you get to the Lake I believe you will be speechless.
